The huge vistas of the escarpment, the Bega Valley, and the eagles are your constant companions at this wonderful hideaway in the foothills of the South East Forests National Park (Tantawangalo Section), just out of Bemboka.
This property has a permanent access road to the council approved shed, currently used as a comfortable weekender, and a building entitlement for the future.
The full, north facing floor to ceiling windows of the cabin flood the place with sunshine.
The rustic kitchen has a classic Stanley cooker, gas Chef stove, 24V fridge with an internal freezer, which runs year-round off the batteries (eg cold drinks on arrival), and an Ugly-Duckling slow combustion wood heater in the lounge/bedroom (serviced this year) keeping the place cosy in winter. There is also a lovely separate studio for the artist or the guests.
There is a rudimentary pit toilet but no bathroom, a portable camp shower has been used over the years.
Good water storage with 2 x 22,500L rainwater tanks, with a petrol water pump, and a modest but effective solar set up, with generator and battery charger:
* Solar panels are 2.4kW
* Inverter is 600W
* Batteries were new in 2020 and are 12V Deep Cycle 120Ahr x 4 (in 24V configuration)
Everything is here to simply turn up, enjoy the peace and quiet, and unwind.
Excellent value for money.
